C&O History Magazine
The C&O Historical Society has issued a monthly magazine since January 1969. The magazine was originally called the Chesapeake & Ohio Historical Newsletter. Once the content reached beyond the scope of a newsletter, the name was changed to Chesapeake & Ohio Historical Magazine, and currently the magazine is titled C&O History.
The current magazine features articles on all aspects of C&O history. Subjects have included steam and diesel locomotives, freight and passenger cars, structures of all types, signals, operations, marine equipment, yards, cities and towns served, businesses and industries served, coal mines, branch lines, personalities and employees, officials and corporate history. Many articles though historical in nature and dealing with the actual railway, have great application to modelers and model enthusiasts.
Regular columns include current news of CSX Corporation, including items pertaining to former C&O lines, and current motive power of CSX.
